An inventory of the damage will be drawn up. An investigation into the causes may be proposed. A repair action plan may also be drawn up.

It is important to distinguish between the normal ageing of a coating and premature deterioration.

The aim of an expert appraisal is to determine the causes of the damage. The investigations are

carried out methodically, allowing hypotheses to be developed that may lead to the causes being

identified, and possibly to the various parties being held responsible.
